High-Speed Level 2 EV Charging At Your Home
Plugging an electric vehicle into a standard 120-volt wall outlet (Level 1) can take over 24 hours to recharge your battery. With a dedicated 240-volt Level 2 charging station installed by Vakula Electric, you can achieve full battery replenishment in just 4 to 8 hours — up to 8x faster than standard trickle charging.
We install all major residential and commercial EVSE units, including Tesla Wall Connectors (Universal & NACS), ChargePoint Home Flex, JuiceBox, Emporia, and heavy-duty NEMA 14-50 plug receptacles.
Up to 44 Miles Per Hour
Hardwired 48A / 60A installations give you the maximum allowable residential charging rate.
Garage & Outdoor Installs
Weatherproof outdoor pedestal mounting or clean concealed conduit runs inside your garage.
Utility Rebate Support
We assist with documentation for LADWP "Charge Up LA" rebates and California EV incentives.
Full Permit & Inspection
All work strictly complies with NEC Article 625 and local municipal electrical safety codes.
Step-by-Step Installation Scope
- Electrical Panel Load Assessment: Comprehensive calculation to verify your panel can safely handle continuous 40A–48A load.
- Dedicated Double-Pole Circuit: Installation of a high-quality 50A or 60A breaker in your electrical panel.
- Heavy Copper Wiring & Conduit: Running high-grade 6 AWG or 4 AWG copper THHN conductors inside rigid EMT or schedule 80 PVC conduit.
- Wall Mounting & Smart Setup: Secure mounting of the charging unit, Wi-Fi pairing, load setting configuration, and test session.
- City Permitting & Inspection: Managing permit filings with LADBS or local building authority.

Frequently Asked Questions
Hardwiring is the recommended approach for modern chargers like the Tesla Wall Connector. It allows the full 48-amp charging speed (on a 60A breaker), eliminates nuisance GFCI breaker tripping, and provides a safer, weather-resistant connection without an extra plug point of failure.
If your panel is full, we can install a tandem breaker, an auxiliary subpanel, or upgrade your main electrical service to 200 amps. Alternatively, an intelligent smart energy monitor can dynamically throttle EV charging when heavy appliances are in use.
Most residential EV charger installations take between 3 and 5 hours, depending on the distance between your main electrical panel and the desired charger location.
